The soldiers had been invied to attend the burlusque show Crown Jewels: Best of British cabaret show by the charity Stubs, which helps the social reintegration of seriously injured soldier.

The charity had bought 25 tickets for the injured soldiers to the striptease show which is part of the part of the nine-day London Burlesque Festival but there will be no privates on parade for the British soldiers after their Commanding Officer, Group Captain Clare Walton, cancelled the group outing days before the show.

Amanda O’Farrell, the charity’s fundraising manager who also had arranged for the soldiers to meet the burlesque dancers said she had no choice but to respect the decision.

“The commanding officer just felt it wasn’t appropriate, which is a shame,” she said.

Katrina’s provocative burlesque routine has upset some royalists and they have called for her to be punished. They consider her naughty striptease to be an act of treason. “Off with her head” they say. We say “off with the clothes!”
